1200 crore spent on Pakistan’s stadium renovation, who spent so much on the Champions Trophy?

The Pakistan Cricket Board has rubbished speculations that the ICC Champions Trophy, which starts on February 19, will be held in another country due to delays in the renovation work of three stadiums. Some news were circulating on social media, in which it was being said that the renovation work is going on in the stadium in Pakistan, so the Champions Trophy will be held outside the country.

A PCB source said the presence of the ICC contingent confirms that the tournament will be played in Pakistan. The board has spent around Rs 12 billion (1200 crores) on renovating the stadiums. We issued the first statement about the ongoing work at the stadium because the media was spreading rumors without checking the facts. Let us tell you that the Champions Trophy matches in Pakistan will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and National Bank Stadium in Karachi, while India’s matches will be played in Dubai. Pakistan government has spent a lot for Champions Trophy.

This tournament will be held in 3 different cities of Pakistan. Champions Trophy matches will be played in Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi. Lahore will host the second semi-final. India will not play a single match against Pakistan. Three group matches with India will be played in Dubai. Pakistan’s first match of the Group A tournament will be against New Zealand on February 19 in Karachi.
