19.28 crores released for sewerage in Kotshmir: Chairman

The Aam Aadmi Party government has been kind to the Bathinda (rural) assembly constituency, which was neglected by the previous governments. The government is continuously issuing grants for development works in the constituency. Now sewerage will be installed in village Kotshamir of Bathinda (rural) assembly constituency, while two new electricity grids will be constructed in village Tiona and Jodhpur Romana. Disclosing this, President of Aam Aadmi Party Bathinda (Rural) and Chairman of Urban Improvement Trust Jatinder Bhalla said that the Punjab government has released a grant of Rs 19.28 crore for laying modern sewerage in Kotshmir Nagar. He said that two new electricity grids are being established in Tiona village and Jodhpur Romana. He said that the construction of electricity grid will be of great benefit to this area.

Bhalla said that before this a ditch is being constructed for canal water at a cost of one crore 28 lakh rupees in the village of Kotshmir itself, with which nearly one thousand acres of land will be irrigated with canal water. He said that around 40 development projects are going on in Bathinda rural constituency. Reiterating his commitment to the development of the constituency, Bhalla said that a grant of Rs 2.5 crore has also been issued for the sewage system of Sangat Mandi.
