Sumbul Touqeer’s father, Touqeer Hassan Khan’s upcoming wedding has made big headlines since this morning. The man is naturally in a happy space. If you talk to him, you can sense that in his voice. ETimes TV spoke to him a few minutes ago and he said, “Well, Sumbul and Saniya (daughters) have been wanting me to marry since 10 years,” and then when asked how’s he feeling, added, jokingly, “Yeh inki saazish hai, bade papa ke saath milkar (Touqeer’s elder brother who who had visited ‘Bigg Boss 16’), ghabrahat ho rahi hai,” and post that, said that he would talk more about Nilofer and their wedding only later.
Reportedly, Nilofer has legally separated from her first husband and has a daughter. ETimes TV now also has it that the child is two-and-half years old.
This morning, we read in TOI, the ‘Imlie’ actress Sumbul saying that they are looking forward to their new sister joining the family and are quite excited about it. “Our father has been our greatest source of inspiration and support for the last many years. Saniya and I are very happy for him,” she had added.For those who’ve come in late, Sumbul’s parents parted ways when she was about 6-years old and ever since then Touqeer brought up both their daughters single-handedly. Back in the day, Sumbul had said, “I have tried finding a bride for my dad once but the experience wasn’t a good one. So as much as I would like him to be remarried, I would want him to be ready for it too.” Seems, Touqeer is finally ready.
