HYDERABAD: A 27-year-old woman from Hyderabad was stabbed to death at Neeld Crescent in London’s Wembley. The assailant was staying in the same flat where the victim, identified as Kontham Tejasvini, was staying.
Another 28-year-old woman was also stabbed. She suffered injuries and was shifted to a hospital where she is said to be out of danger.
The London Metropolitan Police said the incident took place on June 13. The London ambulance service got a call at 9.59am about two women lying in a pool of blood after they were stabbed. After reaching the spot, police found that Tejasvini had died on the spot. Another victim is admitted to a north London hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
Initially, police took two people into custody after the incident. Later, the police released a photograph of another person saying he was wanted in connection with the case. Eventually, he was arrested. The two other persons who were picked up by the police, a man and a woman, were taken to the police station for questioning.
It is suspected that a Brazilian who was also an occupant in a room in the flat was responsible for the crime. However, police said they were investigating the case.
A relative of Tejasvini in Hyderabad said his cousin had moved to the apartment as it was closer to her place of work. The Brazilian who was suspected to have been responsible for the attack on duo was staying in a room in the same flat which had a common kitchen facility.
