NEW DELHI: Jharkhand’s former chief minister Hemant Soren on Saturday said that this is the time to put the “last nail in BJP‘s coffin” and the party will be wiped out from Jharkhand after the legislative assembly election.
A day after Soren received bail from the court, he met his Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) members and said, “Time to put last nail in BJP’s coffin; the saffron party will be wiped out from Jharkhand,” as quoted by PTI.
The former CM said that BJP is “Mungerilal ke haseen sapne” (daydreaming) about winning the legislative election. He further added that the BJP is naming tribals as CMs in several states but they are just “rubber stamps.”
“No one can hide the truth, it comes out sooner or later. I have come amongst you once again to provide you with leadership. I assure you that the results of Lok Sabha elections have given strength to natives and tribals of Jharkhand. I have received information that (Assembly) elections may be held earlier in the state, and we are ready for them,” Soren said while addressing a public gathering in Ranchi.
Without mentioning anyone’s name, Jharkhand’s former chief minister said they would give a “befitting reply to those who hatched a conspiracy against us.”
Soren was released on Friday from the Birsa Munda Jail after the state high court granted bail to him in a money laundering case, observing that he was prima facie not guilty, and there was no likelihood of the petitioner committing an offence on bail.
The JMM leader was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on January 31 in connection with its investigation into the money laundering case linked to the illegal possession of 8.36 acres of land.
He alleged that the BJP has controlled all constitutional establishments but people taught them a lesson in the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections.
