This comes as the presidential debate intensifies between the sitting president Joe Biden and Republican rival Donald Trump. The next US election is scheduled for November this year.
In an X post recently, Harris wrote “Donald Trump would ban abortion nationwide.President @JoeBiden and I will do everything in our power to stop him and restore women’s reproductive freedom.” The post was flagged by X’s Community Notes – the platform’s fact checking like tool.
“President Trump has repeatedly said he will not sign a national abortion ban,” the community notes stated in her post. It also provided supporting links to articles to corroborate the fact.
