Billionaire Elon Musk, who is going all out to express his unwavering support for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, has accused the mainstream media of actively encouraging his assassination due to his political involvement.
During a rally in Pennsylvania, Musk said he is only increasing risk to his life by engaging in politics.
“I’m increasing my risk of being assassinated by engaging in politics.So, dramatically increasing my risk of being assassinated and engaging in politics are not what I want to do,” he said.
“I do not have a death wish, but the stakes are so high that I really feel I have no choice but to do it, and that’s that’s the reason,” he added.
Sharing a video of his Pennsylvania address on X, Musk said, “With their relentless hit pieces, legacy mainstream media are actively encouraging the assassination of @realDonaldTrump and now me.”
In addition to his vocal support, Musk has already contributed at least $70 million to aid the former president’s campaign. He has also launched a unique initiative through his political action committee, pledging to give away $1 million to voters who sign a petition backing the First and Second Amendments of the Constitution. The petition aims to protect freedom of speech and the right to bear arms.
Musk’s America PAC has embarked on a tour of Pennsylvania, a crucial battleground state, with the goal of registering voters in support of Trump. The PAC is also focusing its efforts on persuading voters in other key states. This is not the first time the organization has offered financial incentives.
Musk has previously posted on X, the rebranded version of Twitter, offering $47 and later $100 to individuals who refer others to register and sign the petition.
