1. PM Modi addresses India Maritime Week 2025

2. President Draupadi Murmu flew in Rafale

On October 29, President Draupadi Murmu flew in fighter plane Rafale from Ambala Air Force Station. Rafale took off at 11:10 am and landed at 11:50 am.

Murmu is the first President to fly in fighter planes of the Indian Air Force.

  • Rafale was flown by Group Captain Amit Gehani.
  • Murmu had earlier flown in a Sukhoi 30 MKI fighter jet in Assam on April 7, 2023.

3. Cyprus Foreign Minister on three-day visit to India

Cyprus Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos is on a visit to India from 29-31 October.

4. Russia’s SJ-100 aircraft will now be made in India also

Russia’s SJ-100 civil commuter aircraft will now be manufactured in India as well. On October 28, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited signed an MoU with Russia’s United Aircraft Corporation in Moscow.

Short notification for recruitment to the posts of Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent, Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant has been issued by the Railway Recruitment Board. The application process for these posts will start from October 31, 2025.

Candidates can apply by visiting the official website of Railways, rrbapply.gov.in. Corrections can be made in the application form from 3rd to 12th December.

2. Application started in National Mineral Development Corporation

Recruitment of apprentice has come out from National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC). Candidates do not need to apply for this recruitment. They will have to go to Bailadila Iron Ore Mine, Kirandul Complex, Dantewada, Chhattisgarh for interview.

The interview will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM from 12th November to 21st November 2025. Only those candidates who have less than one year experience can participate in this recruitment.

1. Video of child being beaten with a thorny bush in Himachal Pradesh goes viral

This incident took place in the primary school of Rohru block of Shimla. Where the female head teacher is seen taking off the shirt of a 5th class child and beating him with a thorny bush and the child is crying and asking her to stop.

The child had done some mischief, due to which the teacher beat him.

After the video surfaced, the education department has suspended the teacher. The police have registered a case under the Juvenile Justice Act.
