A 40-year-old man and his three children died of poisoning in a village in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, while his wife and a daughter are undergoing treatment. The officials gave this information.
Officials said that Fazal Hussain, his wife Shamim Akhtar (38) and their four children, residents of Gorla village, were admitted to Rajouri Government Medical College and Hospital late on Saturday night due to severe indigestion.
He said that Hussain died during treatment early today while his wife and children were specially referred to Jammu for treatment. Officials said that three children also died in a hospital in Jammu. They have been identified as 15-year-old Rabia Kausar, 12-year-old Farmana Kausar and four-year-old Raftar Ahmed.
Akhtar and her second daughter Ruksar, 12, are undergoing treatment. Kotranka Additional Deputy Commissioner Dil Muhammad said that the police have started an investigation to find out the cause of his death. -News-Patiala
