7 year old Arya, who took training from Asia’s second highest stadium ‘Ransi’ located in Pauri, Uttarakhand, has created history. This little girl broke the world record by completing the 5 kilometer race in just 24 minutes 22 seconds in the BSF Power Run Marathon held in Pune.

This achievement of Arya has been recorded in the World Book of Records. Her father Pankaj said that by achieving this world record at such a young age, Arya has brought glory not only to him but to the whole of India.

Himachal-born international runner Sunil Sharma is coaching Arya at Ransi Stadium in Pauri. He had been preparing Arya for this marathon for the last 6 months.

Story of Arya who came to Pauri from Maharashtra to fulfill her dreams

Arya hails from a middle class family of Pulgaon in Wardha district of Maharashtra. Father Pankaj Takone is in the police and mother is a housewife. Arya started off at a volleyball ground in Pulgaon, then took professional training in Wardha and Nagpur.

Father says- “When other children learn to walk at the age of one year, Arya used to try running. She was fond of the field since childhood.”

Has made a world record at the age of 3

Arya is currently studying in a government school in Maharashtra, since she was taking training for the last 6 months, during this time she used to take online classes, along with studies, she also used to practice for 6 to 7 hours. This is not the only record in Arya’s name, but she has surprised the world even in three years. In fact, at the age of just 3 years and 6 months, he had created a world record by completing the distance of 1 kilometer in just 6 minutes.

Preparations went on for 6 months in Pauri Arya prepared for this marathon by staying in Uttarakhand for the last six months. She used to train every day with coach Sunil Sharma at Ransi Stadium in Pauri. Training in altitude and cold weather gave him a lot of strength. Ransi Stadium, located at an altitude of 2,133 meters (about 7,000 feet) above sea level in Pauri, Uttarakhand, is considered to be the second highest sports ground not only in Uttarakhand but in the whole of Asia. The first place in Asia is Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala Cricket Stadium.

Ransi Stadium is located near Kandoliya area. The view of the field surrounded by dense trees on one side and the backdrop of high rocks on the other side makes it attractive for sports lovers and players. International runner Sunil Sharma – making India famous in the world

International runner Sunil Sharma, resident of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, has so far represented India in 10 to 15 countries. Recently, he made the country proud by participating in the ‘Big Dog’s Backyard Ultra World Championship’ held in America on 18 October.

In this competition, Sharma covered a distance of 341 kilometers by running continuously for about 51 hours. Although he had to stop midway due to a leg injury during the race, his spirit and performance were appreciated on the entire international stage.

Giving training to 3 children, one from Chamoli too

Sunil Sharma is currently training young players at Ransi Stadium. Currently he has three students – Arya, Bhagirathi and Kuldeep Sahin. Sharma also provides training to Indian Army players.

Sharma told that Bhagirathi Bisht of Van village of Chamoli district has been taking training under his guidance for the last five years. Bhagirathi has so far won medals in several 42 and 21 kilometer marathons and has also represented India in Iraq.
