In the 33rd Haryana Master Athletics Championship, 83-year-old senior citizen Lalchand Godara, a resident of Sirsa, has brightened the name of Sirsa district by winning three gold medals. Senior citizens of Sirsa and young players have congratulated Lalchand Godara on this achievement. The 33rd Haryana Master Athletics Championship was organized by the Haryana Master Athletics Association at the stadium located in Sector 7, Chandigarh. Lalchand Godara, a resident of Sirsa, participated in three events of the over-80 age group of the championship. He excelled in the shot put and won the first position by throwing the shot put up to 6.90 meters. Similarly, in the discus throw competition, he won the first place by throwing 16.58 meters. In the same age group, he completed the 100m race in just 17.6 seconds and stood first.
Sohan Singh Chahal won three medals in the state level competition
