Dr. Kirandeep Kaur said that on the 8th, 9th and 10th of December during this campaign, the teams of the health department will set up booths on the first day and go door-to-door on the remaining two days to give polio drops, so he appealed to the general public to They must administer life-saving polio drops to all their children between the ages of 0 and 5 years.
He said that of course India has come to the number of polio-free countries, but still these rounds are being run by the World Health Organization to maintain this status. This risk remains due to the presence of viral polio virus in the neighboring countries of Pakistan and Afghanistan. So these rounds are being run from time to time.
District Immunization Officer. Dr Bharti Dhawan said during this round, 192487 children aged 0 to 5 years living in 549027 houses of 2782768 population will be given 2 drops of polio by 1474 booths and 2856 teams and 279 supervisors will inspect these teams.
