Shiromani Akali Dal’s working president Balwinder Singh Bhundar, while talking to reporters here today, claimed that the party has received a 20-day reprieve from the Akal Takht in accepting the resignations given by other party office-bearers including party president Sukhbir Singh Badal. is

Sri Bhundar had reached Takht Damdama Sahib to perform religious service. When reporters questioned him about non-compliance with the Akali Takht’s order regarding the resignations of the Akali leadership, he said that the Shiromani Akali Dal had asked the Jathedar of the Akali Takht for a 20-day grace period to follow the entire process in the matter of resignations. C, which has been given by Singh Sahib and now the next decision will be taken during that time. On this occasion, Mr. Bhundar expressed his objection to the date announced by the State Election Commission for holding the municipal council elections and said that the entire Sikh community celebrates the martyrdom fortnight after December 15. Therefore, it is not valid to hold elections at such a time. He demanded from the Election Commission to change the election dates considering the sentiments of Sikhs. On this occasion, Jathedar Mohan Singh Bangi, Bhai Gurpreet Singh Jhabbar, Major Singh Dhillon and Bhai Surjit Singh Raipur, four members of the Shiromani Committee were present with him.
