Congress leader Kuldeep Singh Kala Dhillon, who won from Barnala assembly constituency in the by-elections held on four assembly seats, took oath as an MLA today. Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhawan administered the oath as MLA to newly elected MLA Kuldeep Singh Kala Dhillon from Barnala Vidhan Sabha constituency in the Assembly Secretariat. Speaker Sandhavan welcomed the newly elected MLA and wished him well.
Punjab Congress president and Lok Sabha member Amarinder Singh Raja Waring, senior Congress leader and opposition leader Pratap Singh Bajwa, former minister Balbir Singh Sidhu and Mrs. Aruna Chaudhary were also present on this occasion. It may be mentioned that by-elections were held on four assembly seats in Punjab. Out of these, Aam Aadmi Party won three seats and Congress won one seat. The three AAP MLAs had taken oath on December 2. At that time, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP Punjab President Aman Arora were also present, but Congress MLA Kuldeep Singh Kala Dhillon did not take the oath that day.
