The members of Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Ugrahan burnt effigies in front of the SDM office Guhla and raised slogans against the state government in protest against the barring of farmers from going to Delhi and lathi-charge on farmers at Shambhu and Khanuri border. Today’s demonstration was presided over by Block President Karnail Singh Bhatian. State President of BKU Ekta Ugrahan Kanwarjit Singh said that the Haryana government is continuously oppressing the farmers sitting on Shambhu and Khanuri border for their demands and the agitation is being done by using tear gas shells, pepper powder, lathi charge and water cannons. is being suppressed. Some time ago, the government had accepted that if the farmers go to Delhi by any other means instead of taking tractor trolleys, then the borders would be opened for them, but when the farmers’ organizations marched to Delhi on foot, the government stopped them. Borders Block Cashier Avtar Singh Baupur said that the farmers want to go to Delhi to get their demands but the Haryana government is asking them for permission to stage a dharna in Delhi. He said that if the democratic rights of farmers continue to be suppressed by the government, then the results will not be good. State committee members Charanjit Kaur, Davinder Kaur, Jaswant Singh, Karam Singh, Suresh Kumar, Malkit Singh, Sharanjit Singh, Bhagwan Singh, Kulwant Singh, Balbir Singh, Shishan Ram, Karamjit Singh and Manjit Singh were also present in the demonstration.
