NOCs have been issued by the Municipal Corporation to 1088 candidates willing to contest elections in Ludhiana, the largest municipal corporation of the state. For the last two days, the work of issuing NOCs is going on in the offices of the Municipal Corporation, where those who wish to contest the elections have been arriving since morning to get the NOCs. NOC has been issued to most 379 candidates in B Zone of the Municipal Corporation. The Ludhiana Municipal Corporation elections are on December 21 and the last date for filing nominations is December 12, for which the candidates are applying NOC. On Monday, candidates willing to contest elections from all four zones of the municipal corporation were reaching to get NOC. There were long queues in A Zone, B Zone, C Zone and D Zone of the Municipal Corporation in the morning, but by late evening, the employees of the Municipal Corporation rushed to work. According to the reports given by the Municipal Corporation, 193 NOCs have been issued in two days from Municipal Corporation A Zone. Along with this, a total of 379 NOCs have been issued in Zone B, a total of 241 NOCs in C Zone and a total of 275 NOCs in D Zone.
A candidate filed a nomination
The nominations for the elections started from Monday. No nominations came in on the first day. An independent candidate has filed his nomination for Ward No. 53 of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation on Tuesday.
