Corporation elections: 25 candidates filled papers in Ludhiana

A total of 25 nomination papers have been filed on Wednesday, the third day of filing nominations for the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana elections, taking the total number of nominations to 26. A total of 44 candidates have now filed their nomination papers in the district. A total of 9 nominations were filed today for Municipal Councils, 3 for MC Sahnewal and six for Malud Nagar Panchayat Elections.
District Election Officer Jitinder Jorwal said that 25 nominations were received for Municipal Corporation Ludhiana. A total of 26 nominations have been received so far. While 9 nominations were received today for municipal councils, in which three nominations were received for MC Sahnewal and six nominations for Malaud Nagar Panchayat elections. He said that December 12 will be the last date for filing nominations.

There are 95 wards of the municipal corporation in the city, for which Mamata Ashu, wife of former minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Congress candidate Sonal, Sunil Kapoor, Dilraj Singh, Kulwinder Kaur filed papers today. All these constituencies are Congress candidates from West, who along with Mamata Ashu went to PAU and submitted their papers. Apart from that, a total of 25 candidates submitted nomination papers in different parts of the city. DC Jatinder Jorwal said that the scrutiny of nominations will be done on December 13 while the date of withdrawal of nominations will be December 14. The polls will be held on December 21.

AAP announced 91 candidates for Ludhiana

Ludhiana (TNS): 24 hours before the filing of nominations, the ruling Aam Aadmi Party has released its list of 91 candidates for the municipal elections. Volunteers are less in this list and MLAs are more. The special thing is that the list of contesting elections includes the relatives of many MLAs, including the MLA’s wife, son and brother. However, after the announcement made in the afternoon, the list was released by AAP at 8 pm, after which there is happiness among the AAP candidates. Those whose names have been announced are celebrating by bursting firecrackers and playing bhangra. AAP is yet to announce tickets for 4 wards out of 95 wards of the city. According to the list, AAP has given ticket to Sukhchain Gogi, wife of MLA Gurpreet Gogi from West Constituency, for election from Ward No. 61. Apart from this, a ticket has also been given to the relative of MLA Daljit Singh Bhola. Aman Baga, son of Utri MLA Madan Lal Baga, has been given a ticket from ward number 94. MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi’s brother Rakesh Parashar has been given a ticket from ward number 90. Apart from this, MLA Pappi’s wife Meenu Parashar is also being discussed.

Shiromani Akali Dal released the second list of candidates
Ludhiana (Gurinder Singh): The Shiromani Akali Dal has released the second list of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation candidates today, in which tickets have been given to many leaders who have joined the Akali Dal except the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP, while Akali Jatha Shahri president Bhupinder Singh Bhinda has been given tickets. A candidate has been announced from ward number 60. Observers Mantar Singh Brar and SRCler were also present in the meeting led by senior party leaders Maheshinder Singh Grewal, Jathedar Hira Singh Gabaria, Sharanjit Singh Dhillon, Ranjit Singh Dhillon and city president Bhupinder Singh Bhinda. On this occasion, Manpreet Singh, who left the BJP and joined the Akali Dal, has been announced as a candidate from ward number 78 and AAP Legal Cell Punjab Joint Secretary Achla Bhanot Saptani Advocate Amandeep Bhanot has been announced as a candidate from ward number 61. Apart from this, Prem Kumar Batra from Ward 4, Gagandeep Kaur from Ward 15, Rita Devi from Ward 17, Gurpreet Kaur Ritu from Ward 21, Gurjit Kaur from Ward 23, Saroj Devi from Ward 25, Kashmir Kaur from Ward 29, Ward 52 Gurmeet Singh from Ward 53 Amarjit Kaur Dung from Ward 62 Kulwant Singh from Ward 64 Charanjit Singh Channi, Baljit Kaur from Ward 65, Moti Bhanot from Ward 68, Rajeev Sharma from Ward 69, Darshanan Madan from Ward 70, Sukhwinder Kaur from Ward 71, Priya from Ward 73, Manjit Kaur from Ward 75, Manpreet Singh from Ward 78 , Advocate Anchal Kapur from Ward 79, Simran Chandok from Ward 82, Ward Inspector Surinder Singh Chhinda from 94 and Simranjit Kaur from ward number 95 have been announced as candidates. On this occasion, the leaders said that the Akali Dal will achieve a great victory in the Municipal Corporation elections

Machiwara Municipal Council: AAP announced 15 and Congress 3 candidates

Machiwara (Gurdeep Singh Tucker): Aam Aadmi Party has released the list of candidates from 15 wards regarding Sahib elections. According to the list released by the state president Aman Arora, from Ward No. 1 to Ward No. 15 of Machiwara respectively, Prakash Kaur, Naginderpal Singh Makkar, Harwinder Kaur, Ranjit Singh, Satinder Kaur, Gurpreet Singh, Rajinder Kaur, Kishore Kumar, Parminder Kaur, Jagmeet Singh. Makkar, Ravinderjit Kaur, Mohit Kundra, Sharanjit Kaur, Rajinder Kumar and Dharmapal have been fielded. MLA from Samrala constituency Jagtar Singh is fully active to win his candidates in the Dayalpura Municipal Council elections. Congress has announced 3 more candidates today. The party had earlier released a list of 11 candidates. Congress has given ticket to Rashmi Jain from Ward No. 5, Saroj Bala from Ward No. 11 and Kamalpreet Kaur from Ward No. 13. Candidate from Ward No. 14 is yet to be announced. Meanwhile, BJP has released the list of candidates from 7 wards regarding the municipal council elections. BJP district president Bhupinder Singh Cheema announced the candidates during the press conference and said that Monika Sharma from ward no. Tilla Devi, has fielded Jagannath from Ward 14.

Akali Dal announced 10 candidates
Machiwara (Letter Perrika): The Shiromani Akali Dal has released its list of 10 candidates for the Municipal Council Machiwara Sahib elections. District Jathedar Jasmail Singh Bondli has released the first list of 10 candidates after discussions with the Constituency Chief Sevadar Paramjit Singh Dhillon and other senior leaders, in which Sukhwinder Kaur, Harpal Singh, Pooja Rani and Ward No. 1 to 4 respectively. Paramjit Kaur, Suraj Kumar, Jaswant Kaur, Jasveer from Ward 7, 8, 9, 12, 13 and 15 respectively. Kaur, Jaspal Singh and Ranveer Singh Rahi are included.
