Chandigarh, December 12
Diljit Dosanjh Dil Luminati Tour: Singer Diljit Dosanjh has been issued an advisory by the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights Chairperson ahead of his December 14 show in the city. Commission Chairperson Shipra Bansal said that it has come to their notice that children were invited on stage during Dosanjh Diljit Dosanjh’s previous concert and sometimes some songs were played which were not suitable for children.
A child rights organization said in an advisory on Wednesday that songs like “Patiala Pag, 5 Tara, and Kes”, which promote alcohol, drugs and violence, should not be distorted. These songs affect children of impressionable age. Events run very late into the night and there is a high likelihood of alcohol being supplied… Alcohol should not be served to children under 18 years of age.
He said that an advisory was also issued before the concert of Punjabi singer Karan Aujla. Earlier on November 15, the Telangana government had issued a legal notice to Dosanjh, directing him not to sing any song promoting alcohol, drugs and violence. ANI
