Hyderabad, December 13
The husband of the woman who lost her life in a stampede at a theater during the December 4 screening of the film ‘Pushpa 2’ today said that actor Allu Arjun is not at fault and does not hold the actor responsible for the tragedy.
Bhaskar, the woman’s husband, said that he is ready to withdraw his case filed in connection with the incident. He said while talking to the media, “Allu Arjun coming to the theater is not wrong. I am ready to withdraw my case.”
Bhaskar said that the police did not give him any information about Arjun’s arrest and he got information about it only from newspapers. In fact, a large number of fans thronged Sandhya Theater on December 4 night to catch a glimpse of the actor. Meanwhile, a 35-year-old woman, Revathi, was killed and her eight-year-old son was injured in the stampede. He is undergoing treatment in a private hospital here.
The Hyderabad police arrested Allu Arjun this morning in the case of the woman’s death and the court ordered the actor to be sent to judicial custody for 14 days. However, the Telangana High Court later granted him four weeks of interim bail. -News-Patiala
