Emergency landing of IndiGo plane going to Jeddah in Karachi

A passenger aboard an IndiGo flight bound for Jeddah had to be offloaded at the Karachi airport in an emergency situation due to his health deterioration. Later the plane returned to Delhi. Sources in the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan said that while the plane was in Pakistani airspace, a passenger fell ill, due to which the plane was landed at the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. IndiGo said the captain of the plane diverted the flight to Karachi where a doctor examined the passenger. The airline said that after completing the necessary operations, the aircraft left for Delhi so that the sick person can be given proper treatment. After dropping the passenger in Delhi, the plane left for Jeddah. According to Geo News, the sick passenger was 55 years old. Sources said that despite giving oxygen to the passenger inside the plane, when there was no improvement in his health, the pilot contacted the air traffic control of Karachi airport. -News-Patiala
