Sangrur district police registered 6 cases in a week under the anti-narcotics campaign and arrested 8 people, from whom 11 grams of heroin, 30 kg of poppy seeds and 56 liters of liquor were recovered. District Police Chief Sartaj Singh Chahal said that during operations from 7th to 13th December, 3 drug cases were registered and 5 accused were arrested, from whom 11 grams of heroin and 30 kg of poppy were recovered. 3 cases have been registered against the liquor dealers and 3 accused have been arrested. Apart from this, 18,600 rupees have been recovered after arresting 4 accused who are engaged in betting business.
