Congress workers under the leadership of Rajpura Constituency Congress MLA Hardyal Singh Kamboj kept the main gate of Municipal Council Banur closed till midnight last night. During the scrutiny of the nominations for the by-election to be held on December 21 of ward number-6 here in the council office, the Congress workers were apprehensive that the papers of the party candidate Neelam Rani may be rejected. Direct competition between Congress and AAP
Today, on the day of withdrawal of nominations, Naveen Kumar, the covering candidate of Congress candidate Neelam Rani and Amit Kumar, the covering candidate of Aam Aadmi Party candidate Balbir Singh, withdrew their papers. Now for this by-election, there will be a direct contest between Congress and AAP.
