At the same time, South films are making record breaking earnings one after another. Along with this, Hindi is impressing the audience. This year, many big budget films proved to be flops at the box office, but one or two low budget films made Bollywood proud.
Rajkumar Rao gave both these films. You must have understood the name of a film named Rajkumar. Yes, ‘Stree 2’ and the other one is ‘Srikanth’. Both of these were low budget films. ‘Stree 2’ was made for Rs 60 crores. According to Bollywood Hungama, ‘Stree 2’ collected Rs 627.02 crore at the box office while Srikanth collected Rs 50.05 crore.
Other superhit and blockbuster films of this year include Kartik Aryan, Vidya Balan and Madhuri Dixit starrer ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and Rohit Shetty’s multi-starrer film ‘Singham Again’. In this, Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff were in the main roles. Apart from these 4 films, Bollywood could not show anything special.
‘Pushpa 2’ earned more than Rs 1300 crore in 11 days
At the same time, even among Pan India films, films originally made in Telugu remained dominant across India. The charm of one of these is still intact. According to the report of SACNILC, ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ has collected Rs 900 crore in just 11 days in India alone. At the international level, this film has collected more than Rs 1300 crore.
‘Kalki 2898 A.D.’ second telugu film
Apart from ‘Pushpa 2’, another Telugu film which set a new benchmark at the box office was ‘Kalki 2898 A.D.’ The film had big stars like Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. The film earned Rs 639.70 crore in India. The film earned Rs 294.25 crore in Hindi alone.
