Russia’s intelligence agency said today that it has detained a suspect in the murder of a senior general in Moscow. Mashkuk is said to be a citizen of Uzbekistan who was recruited by the Ukrainian intelligence service. Russia’s Federal Security Service did not release Mashkuk’s name but said he was born in 1995. According to the statement of the intelligence agency, he told during the interrogation that he was recruited by the special service of Ukraine. It may be mentioned that Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov was killed in a bomb blast in Moscow yesterday. The bomb was planted in a scooter outside their apartment building. -News-Patiala
