Gurdaspur Grenade attack: Three suspected terrorists involved in the grenade attack in Gurdaspur in Punjab were killed in an encounter with a joint team of Uttar Pradesh and Punjab police in Pilibhit on Monday morning. Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav termed it as a major success of the police against the Pakistan-backed Khalistan Zindabad Force module.
The slain accused have been identified as Gurwinder Singh (25), Varinder Singh alias Ravi (23) and Jaspreet Singh alias Pratap Singh (18), all of whom are residents of Gurdaspur in Punjab. The competition took place in Puranpur area of district Pilibhit of Uttar Pradesh. -News-Patiala
