Yoga can become a guide for world peace: Des Raj

Des Raj, National President of Indian Yoga Institute, has said that Yoga can become a guide for establishing peace in the world. He came to Amritsar today to attend the 13th Mahila Yoga Shakti Divas function organized by the Bharatiya Yoga Sansthan here today. President Desraj, who attended the event organized at the local BBK DAV College as the chief guest, discussed bone and women’s diseases and Yoga.

The event began with the chanting of the word Om and the Gayatri Mantra. The Chief Guest of the event, Des Raj, Kundan Varmani, Manmohan Kapoor, Satish Mahajan and Virender Dhawan lit the lamp. Meanwhile, while talking to the media, President Des Raj said that yoga can become a guide for peace in the world because yoga works with the aim of Vasudeva Katumbakam. Yoga conveys the message of mutual brotherhood, peace, mutual love and keeping the society healthy. That is why the importance of yoga is increasing in the world today. More than 190 countries belonging to the United Nations have recognized the International Day of Yoga and recently the International Day of Meditation has also been recognized by these countries. He said that yoga should be adopted as a subject at school and college level. He said that governments should help in this matter. He also praised the current central government for the work being done for the promotion of yoga.

On this occasion, the chief guest also answered the questions of the people and cleared many of their misconceptions about yoga. Kundan Varmani, Punjab Head of Indian Yoga Institute, welcomed the chief guest and other guests. Manmohan Kapoor, the state leader of the organization thanked the chief guest, special guests and others. Satish Mahajan gave information about some special information and activities of Bharatiya Yoga Institute.
