Exam Rules: This year many changes have been seen in the field of education. Various states are also making new rules to implement the New Education Policy 2020 in school education. Till now the students who failed in the 5th and 8th class examination were promoted to the next class, but now this will not happen in Haryana. The Haryana government has decided to make major changes in school education (Exam Rules, Haryana Schools).
Now the fifth and eighth class exams will be conducted regularly in Haryana. Students who fail in this will not be admitted to the next class. These students will have to retake the exam within 2 months. Only after passing this, they will be admitted to the next class i.e. 6th or 8th. According to the new rules, if a student fails in the re-examination, he will be stopped in the same class, that is, he will have to re-exam.
Earlier students did not fail till 8th standard.
In the old rules of the education department, there was no provision to fail any student till class 8. Students used to pass even with low marks, but now the central government has changed the policy of not failing till 8th. This decision of the Center has also been implemented in Haryana. The Ministry of Education of Haryana has issued a notification in this regard and has given updated information. Other states may also implement it over time.
Weaker students will get special guidance
If a student studying in 5th and 8th class in Haryana schools fails then he has to retake the exam in 2 months. Meanwhile, the teachers will give special guidance to the students to improve their results. Teachers not only have to pay attention to the student’s performance, but also provide adequate support to his parents. Then the teacher will evaluate the student’s performance and give him necessary suggestions. The school principal will make a list of students who are weak in studies and monitor their improvement.
