Haryana government has announced winter vacation in schools. These holidays will be held from January 1 to 15 in all government and private schools. Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda said that the department will soon issue a notification in this regard. He said that according to the official notification, all the government and private schools will have holidays as per the prescribed schedule. Under this all schools will remain closed for 15 days. This decision has been taken in view of the cold weather in the state. However, school attendance has been made mandatory for children from 6th to 12th from January 16. Timings of private aided schools along with government schools have been changed from 10 am to 4 pm.
