Punjab has become the first state to resolve the issues of NRI Punjabis online. Any Migrant Punjabi can complain online regarding any matter related to Punjab state. This new facility has been started in the month of Dasbanar (2024). After assuming power, the Punjab government has made continuous efforts to quickly and concretely resolve the issues and complaints of the migrant Punjabis.

The Punjab government has resolved the issues of migrant Punjabis on a priority basis during the year 2024. The state government has appointed the Chief Minister. On the directions of Bhagwant Singh Maan, four ‘NRI Meet’ events were held during February 2024, during which a large number of complaints were redressed.

Under the unique facility called ‘Online NRI Meeting’ started by the NRI Department of Punjab, Punjabis living in different countries can directly raise their various issues/complaints to the Minister and senior officials of the Department and N. can bring it to the notice of senior police officers of RI wing.

The online meeting involves the Minister of the Department, and Senior Officials of the NRI Department, Punjab and Senior Police Officers of the NRI Wing and an effort is made to resolve the complaints received one by one on the spot. do

This ‘Online NRI’ held in the first week of every month. Most of the complaints related to the revenue and police departments during the ‘meeting’, while 20 percent of the complaints are already under hearing in various courts. Regarding the online complaints related to the districts, orders are given to the civil and police officials of the respective districts over the phone.

Cabinet Minister for Non-Resident Indian Affairs of Punjab. Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that the Punjab government has asked DCs and SSPs of all districts to resolve the complaints of migrant Punjabis on priority basis. Under the leadership of Deputy Commissioners at the district level, orders have been given to resolve the issues of migrants by coordinating various complaints with the relevant departments.
