New Delhi, December 26
The central government has appointed 1992 batch IAS officer Arunish Chawla as the revenue secretary in a reshuffle of senior bureaucrats.
In a circular issued today by the Union Ministry of Personnel, it was said that Chawla of Bihar cadre is currently the Secretary of Pharmaceuticals. He has been appointed as the Secretary of the Revenue Department in the Ministry of Finance.
According to the orders, Chawla will also hold the additional charge of secretary in the Ministry of Culture until a firm appointment is made. Unique Identification Authority of India (UIAI) chief executive officer Amit Agarwal has been appointed as secretary of pharmaceuticals, replacing Chawla. – IANS
