In Patiala, police caught five accused red handed who were preparing to rob a bank. These accused had gathered in Gurdayalpura Beed of Samana, where the police caught them after a raid. A 32 bore country made pistol and two live magazines were taken from these accused.

DSP GS Sikand Samana said that the team of Sadar Police Station had set up the naka under the supervision of Sub Inspector Avtar Singh. After receiving secret information at the checkpoint, the police team raided the crowd. During this, Guralveen Singh, Luvjeet Singh, Baljinder Singh, Pawan Singh and Manpreet Singh were caught. They were planning to rob the bank.
The age of all of them is around 20 years and all of them are residents of Samana. The police have obtained records of previous criminal cases registered against all these accused, which are being verified. The DSP said that all of them have been given two-day police remand so that the remaining questions can be interrogated.
