The last rites of the country’s first Sikh Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh were performed with state honors at Nigam Bodh Ghat on Saturday. But due to his rites not being performed at Rajghat, Punjab BJP responded to the objection expressed by Congress MPs and Akali Dal in Punjab.

Politics should not be done on the death of Dr. Manmohan Singh
Punjab BJP state general secretary Anil Sarin said that the sad thing behind all this is that politics is being done on this issue also. Due to which the mind is feeling sad. Such politics should be avoided in times of mourning. We all had seen how much Congress respected Dr. Manmohan Singh when he was the Prime Minister. The ordinance passed by his cabinet was torn by his leaders.
Sarin further said that we do not want to do any kind of politics on this issue. Because there are many other issues for politics. But politics should not be done on this issue. Punjab BJP state general secretary Anil Sarin further said that the work done by Manmohan Singh for the country cannot be forgotten. We never did politics on any national leader.

BJP said- We are committed to the mausoleum and memorial of Dr. Manmohan Singh.

In the press conference, Anil Sarin said that Punjab BJP expresses grief over the demise of the great son of Punjab and former Prime Minister of the country, Sardar Manmohan Singh. Manmohan Singh played an important role in lifting the country from the economic crisis. Bharatiya Janata Party respects his works.

This decision of the Center is respected by Punjab BJP. We want it to be ready as soon as possible. We are committed to the mausoleum and memorial of Dr. Manmohan Singh.
