After the last two days of rain in the Tricity, the cold has taken hold. This morning nothing was visible on the roads due to thick fog. On the other hand, normal life was affected due to cold weather. People were coming out of their homes in small numbers. Meteorologists have predicted dense fog and cold wave on December 30 and 31. It was cloudy with dense fog in Chandigarh this morning. Along with this, the cold winds kept the people shivering, but as the sun shone in the afternoon, the faces of the people brightened up. Meanwhile, many people enjoyed going to Sukhna Lake, Rose Garden and Rock Garden among other sightseeing places after the sunrise. Meanwhile, a large number of people were also enjoying boating on Sukhna Lake.
According to the information received from the Meteorological Department, there was a difference of 5.6 degree Celsius between day and night temperature in Chandigarh today. The minimum temperature in the city today was recorded at 11 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 17.4 degrees Celsius. Similarly, Mohali recorded a maximum temperature of 17.2 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 9 degrees Celsius. Panchkula also recorded a maximum temperature of 16.6 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 10.2 degrees Celsius.
With the change in the weather, the shops of those dealing in warm clothes in the city have also started to get busy. A large number of city people were seen shopping at hot clothing shops.
Fog stopped the speed of traffic
Motorists faced a lot of problems due to the smog in Tricity this morning. Due to the fog, people were moving towards their destinations by waking up the lines of vehicles in the morning. The movement of vehicles was quite slow. Due to the fog and being a Sunday, the traffic on the roads was also significantly less than earlier today.
