The residents of Sector-69 here have been yearning for the opening of the sanctioned corridor leading to their homes for the past three decades. So far, nothing has flourished without false promises. Sector-69 was settled about 30 years ago, but the residents of this sector of VIP City have longed for basic facilities.
Former councilor of the area Satveer Singh Dhanoa said that the local people have been waiting for the opening of the approved crossing for a long time. In this regard, governments, local administrations and Gamada have been repeatedly contacted and requested to open the road, but this demand is being ignored. He said that after the settlement of the sector, the road was approved from the side of Van Bhavan and Vigilance Office, but so far this approved road has not been opened. Due to which people are having to walk a long distance to go home. He said that people have been given only a temporary route, which is not correct. Accidents often happen while entering this route. Many people have lost their lives so far.
Satveer Dhanoa said that five sites and about 30 acres of land have been reserved for the market in the sector, which is neither properly cleaned nor used by Gamada. Bushes, poisonous weeds have grown in this place. Resident Welfare Society President Rajbir Singh, Karam Singh Mavi, Rajinder Singh Ahluwalia, Ranjit Singh Sidhu, Kuldeep Singh Gosal, Harmeet Singh, Captain Makhan Singh, Parvinder Singh, Gurmel Singh, Gurvinder Singh Garcha, SS Brar were also present on this occasion.

GAMADA Chief Administrator Munish Kumar listened to the delegation of sector residents very attentively and assured to resolve the issue without any delay. He said that in this regard the team will be sent to the spot and the current status and survey report will be taken. After this, priority will be given to take appropriate action.
