Expressed protest due to non-completion of development work

Today, the members of Gulmohar City Residents Welfare Association protested against the Municipal Council due to non-completion of development work. Earlier, the members of the association held a journal meeting under the chairmanship of Senior Advisor Vinod Chugh. Meanwhile, there was a discussion on the continuous violation of the orders of the High Court by the officials of the Municipal Council.

He said that the court had asked to complete the work in the concerned colony in two months. The ADC (Urban Development) Mohali had also asked for early completion of the work citing court orders on January 22, but only one lane of road has been constructed so far by Municipal Council Laldu officials. All the rest of the work is hanging in the middle. In the meeting, the residents of the colony have sent a notice to the Chief Minister and the concerned officials and demanded that if the remaining work of the colony is not started immediately, they will approach the court again. President Rakesh Saini, Vice President Amarjit Singh, General Secretary Ajaib Singh, Advisor Gursevak Singh, Secretary Gurmeet Singh, Treasurer Kamaljit Singh were present on this occasion.

On the other hand, Municipal Council Executive Officer Gurbakshish Singh Sandhu said that the remaining development works will be completed soon.
