The Punjab government is expected to earn crores from the singers’ shows during the New Year 2025 celebrations. Famous Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is having a program tomorrow on December 31 at the Football Ground of Ludhiana Agricultural University. The state government is expected to get an income of 4.50 crores in the form of taxes from this show. The financial health of the Punjab government is not very good and that is why the government has been on the sidelines from all sides.
Diljit Dosanjh has previously performed concerts in various states of India. This is Diljit’s first show in Punjab under this series. According to the details collected by the Punjab government, Diljit Dosanjh’s Ludhiana show is estimated to sell tickets worth around 25 crores (including GST), from which the state government will get an income of around 4.50 crores. The state government estimates that 50 thousand tickets have been sold for this show. The price of a ticket is five to six thousand rupees, but sources say that the black price of the tickets is much higher. Tickets have been sold online by Zomato Live. M/s Saregama India Limited is the Principal Event Manager, while M/s SE International Entertainment is the Assistant Manager.
For this show, the Punjab Agricultural University will get Rs 20.65 lakh separately as ground rent etc., from which the government will get Rs 3.15 lakh as tax. For Diljit Dosanjh’s show, the ground has been rented from the Agricultural University from December 25 to January 3. M/s Saregama India will also have to pay 18 percent GST on the advertisement earnings of Diljit’s show sponsor, food and drinks and other products. The New Year programs are being held in the big and small cities of Punjab, where small and big singers will tie the colors, the government exchequer will earn from them, it is different.
Satinder Sartaj show ticket 40 thousand rupees
Famous Punjabi singer Satinder Sartaj’s New Year program is being held on December 31 at Omax Plaza in New Chandigarh (Mullanpur). According to the information received by the Punjab government, 1500 to 2000 people are expected to participate in this event. The ticket for this show is 1500 rupees for general public, gold ticket is 7500 rupees and top ticket is 40 thousand rupees per person. For Sartaj’s show, the organizers have taken a liquor supply license from the Excise Department on December 26, for which the fee has been charged at Rs 50,000. The government will get 18 percent GST on the sale of tickets.
