The cold wave caused panic among the people of Delhi

The India Meteorological Department has issued a cold wave warning, according to which the cold has taken hold in the entire North India. National capital Delhi also witnessed a drastic drop in temperature. Today there was dense fog in Delhi due to which the mercury has come down further.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature was recorded at 18 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature at 6 degrees Celsius. On this occasion, the cold made people shiver today. Cold has become a disaster especially for the helpless people. Delhi government shelters are also proving inadequate for the homeless. Rickshaw pullers and beggars are forced to take shelter during cold nights in bus shelters. Business hours have also reduced due to the cold weather. Due to increasing cold in the national capital, people have also started using heaters. Attendance of students in schools remained low.

Relief from pollution after record rainfall

Pollution has improved in Delhi NCR after rains. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the overall air quality index was 183 around 6 am today. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the maximum temperature in Delhi was recorded at 18 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees below normal. The minimum temperature on Sunday was 6 degrees Celsius, six degrees above the seasonal average. North India is shivering with the drop in temperature and the cold wave has taken hold. People of Delhi faced cold winds today due to which road traffic was also affected. The IMD predicted very dense fog on Monday and fog continued to prevail in many areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures were around 18 degrees Celsius and 6 degrees Celsius respectively. The AQI was 23 at 38 monitoring stations in the city listed in the Sameer app, while one station at Dilshad Garden recorded an AQI of 95.
