Addis Ababa – At least 71 people have died after a truck plunged into a river in Ethiopia. This information was given in a statement by the spokesperson of the South Sidama Regional Government.

Sidama regional government spokesman Voseneleh Simian told Reuters on Monday that at least 71 people had died, including 68 men and three women. He said that the condition of five persons is critical and they are undergoing treatment at Bona General Hospital.
