In Kotkapura city of Faridkot, a woman, upset with her homosexual husband, committed suicide by hanging herself in her house. The deceased was identified as Reena Kaur (35) and in this case the City Police station registered a case against her husband, sister-in-law and another youth on the complaint of her father.

In the statement given to the police, Sadhu Singh, resident of village Gajjanwala of Baghapurana (Moga), told that his daughter Reena Kaur was married to Sonu Singh, resident of Kotkapura in 2015. When her daughter, when she was a boy, had gone with her husband to pay obeisance at a religious place, a young man named Anmol alias Jagwinder Singh, a resident of Kotkapura, had also gone along with her husband.
Going there, she got to know about her husband’s homosexual relationship with Anmol. After this, Anmol started visiting the house also, which Reena Kaur used to oppose. But her husband and sister-in-law did not listen, instead they started pressurizing her to leave the house.

Due to this issue, discord started in the house and being fed up with this, Reena Kaur committed suicide by hanging herself with a chunari in the room of the house. In this matter, SHO of Police Station City, Manoj Kumar Sharma said that on the statement of the father of the deceased, the police have registered a case against the woman’s husband Sonu Singh, sister-in-law Kaddu and another youth Anmol alias Jagwinder Singh under the sections of BSS and the accused have been arrested. Raids have been started in search of him.
