A day after declaring 2025 as the Year of Defense Reforms with the aim of revamping the Indian Army and making it a technologically modern force, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh today said that the DRDO will have a “crucial role” in achieving these goals. . The Defense Minister today visited the headquarters of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) on the occasion of its 67th Foundation Day and met senior scientists and other officials. Singh called upon DRDO to keep moving forward and bring out products relevant to the changing times in order to adapt to the rapidly changing technological environment. Notably, India on Wednesday declared 2025 as the Year of Defense Reforms on the first day of the new year, saying it aims to facilitate the rollout of integrated theater commands to enhance coordination among the three services and equip the army with technologically advanced combat capabilities.
