Amritpal’s father condemned the imposition of UAPA against his son

Amritsar, January 9

Tarsem Singh, the father of Member of Parliament from Khadur Sahib and head of ‘Waris Punjab De’ organization Amritpal Singh, has condemned the imposition of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) on his son, who is in Dibrugarh Jail in Assam. He said that it is a ‘conspiracy’ to prevent the MP’s family from announcing a new political party on the occasion of Maghi.

Talking to this news agency, Tarsem Singh said, “Now when the National Security Act (NSA) imposed on Amritpal Singh is about to expire, they have imposed UAPA on him. We are planning to announce a political party and this is an attempt to stop us. Bhagwant Mann’s anti-Sikh mentality has become apparent. These things are being done without any evidence or investigation to defame Amritpal. SP Jasmeet Singh said, “UAPA has been imposed in the case registered against Amritpal based on the investigation of the Gurpreet Hari nine murder case. The name of designated terrorist Arsh Dalla is also involved in this case. The investigation is ongoing, due to which we cannot give much information.” Tarsem Singh said that NSA has been launched against Amritpal Singh due to ‘political fear’. A new party is to be announced by Tarsem Singh on the occasion of Maghi Mela. – ANI
