A fire suddenly broke out in a three-storied wholesale shop named Sri Guru Lal Ji General Store located on Buttar Road of Shahr Qadin at night due to which all the goods were burnt to ashes. According to the owner of the store, he has suffered a loss of around two crore rupees due to the fire. Fire brigade vehicles and the people of the vicinity brought the fire under control after about eight hours, but the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
Sanjiv Kumar Bhatia, son of Satpal Bhatia, owner of the general store, said that he closed the shop at night as usual and went home. At around 2 o’clock in the night, someone called him and told him that there was a fire in his shop. When he came to the spot, he saw flames and smoke coming out of the shop. As soon as the information was received, DSP Harkrishan Singh, Head of Police Station Kadian Nirmal Singh, Naib Tehsildar Nirmal Singh Kadian and other officials reached the spot. The fire was brought under control after eight hours by the fire brigade staff with the help of people. The owner of the shop, Sanjeev Kumar, is expressing suspicion by naming a person for starting the fire. Police officials say that they are engaged in the investigation of this matter.
