Team India will be announced for the Champions Trophy on January 18, know which players will get a chance

New Delhi: When will the Indian team for the Champions Trophy, this question is in the mind of every fan. But now its date has come. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to announce Team India for the ICC Champions Trophy on January 18. BCCI itself has given this information by issuing an advisory. The team will be announced at 12:30 PM under the leadership of selector Ajit Agarkar. Captain Rohit Sharma is also expected to be present in this.

The press conference will also announce the team for the three-match ODI series against England. The ODI series against England will be like a rehearsal for the Champions Trophy and hence the squad is likely to be equal for both the series. In the Champions Trophy, India have been placed in Group A along with arch-rivals Pakistan, New Zealand and Bangladesh. The Men in Blue will play their first match against Bangladesh on February 20 and then face Pakistan on February 23.

India’s last match of the group stage will be against New Zealand on March 2. Team India will play all their matches at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. The tournament will begin on February 19 with a match between hosts Pakistan and New Zealand in Karachi. The first semi-final will be held on March 4 in Dubai while the second semi-final will be held on March 5 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
