TRAI Warning: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued an important alert for mobile users across the country. Under this alert, if you also get a call for the closure of KYC update or SIM, then be careful because this is the new way of thugs to cheat people. Recently it has been seen that cyber criminals are making fake calls to people by calling themselves TRAI officers. In this call, people are intimidated that if they do not update their KYC then their SIM will be closed.

For your information, let us know that TRAI has made it clear that he never calls himself for KYC or other things. Apart from this, for information, let us know that TRAI does not have the right to close any mobile number. Only telecom companies, such as Jio, Airtel, etc., can close the number in the event of wrong KYC or outstanding bill.
Do this work on fake calls
TRAI has also made it clear that it has not allowed any external agency to make calls related to KYC or SIM. TRAI has advised the users not to trust any such call at all and complain about that number immediately.
- To complain, you just have to call the National Cyber Helpline Number 1930.
- Apart from this, use communication partner portal or app.
- Go to the app and choose the “Chakshu” option and fill the complete information about that call.
Government is preparing to change SIM card
According to the information, the Government of India is preparing to change the old SIM cards. It is believed that the government is preparing to bring new technology by removing old SIM cards. This step is being taken after investigating the country’s cyber security agency.
