1. Telangana SC reservation became the first state to sub-categorization On 14 April, Telangana became the first state in the country to implement the sub-carpetition of Scheduled Castes (SC) reservation. The state government has divided 59 sub-castes into 3 groups. It was implemented on the occasion of the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar.
Telangana irrigation minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy gave information about sub-carriage of reservation of scheduled castes.
- In fact, in October 2024, the Telangana government formed a commission under the chairmanship of retired judge Shamim Akhtar of the High Court.
- The commission had recommended 59 castes of the SC community to distribute 15 percent reservation in government jobs and education to 3 classes (class I, class II and class III).
- The final meeting of the cabinet was held at the Secretariat on Sunday, April 13, before implementing this law.
- Then, the recommendation was approved by the Governor of Telangana on 8 April, after which it was implemented on 14 April.
- The SC class will get only 15% reservation as before, but now it is divided into different groups.
2. For the first time 6 women visited space together
For the first time on 14 April, 6 women visited the space. These included the famous Hollywood singer Katy Perry and American Billionaire Jeff Bezos’ fiancé Lauren Sanchez.
The rocket flew from Wayne Horn Launch pad in Texas at 7 pm. The mission returned after about 11 minutes.
- Apart from Katy Perry and Lauren, TV presenter GAIL King, human rights activist Amanda Guayen, filmmaker Carian Flynn and former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe also visited space.
- The journey was completed by American industrialist Jeff Bezos’ Rocket from the Blue Origin Company rocket.
- During this time, the rocket traveled a total of 212 km, including coming and going.
- This is the first All Women Crew to travel on space after 1963. Earlier in 1963, Russian engineer Valentina Tereshkova traveled to space alone.
- The price of 11 minutes of walking in space with blue origin rocket is about Rs 1.15 crore.
- The mission is part of Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin Company’s New Shepard Program, named NS-31.

Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council (UPMSP) has rejected the news of declaring UP board class 10th and 12th results on 15 April today. In fact, for the last few days, there was a rumor on social media and other mediums that the results of UP board 10th and 12th would be declared on April 15.
UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh issued a notice, calling this information wrong and misleading.
The board clarified that the exact date and time of the result would be given at upmsp.edu.in or upmspresults.nic.in.
3. Order to take action on Delhi’s school charging arbitrary fees
The Delhi Chief Minister today took cognizance of the complaint of incorrectly recovery of fees by Queen Mary School in Model Town and complaints of children being expelled from school today. He then called the concerned department and ordered the school administration to call the secretariat and immediately end the registration.
The Chief Minister gave information about this by tweeting on social media platform X.
He said that during the mass media program today, a case related to Queen Mary School, Model Town came to light, in which the families of the children lodged a complaint of wrongly recovery of fees and the children were expelled from the school. He instructed the concerned officials to take immediate and necessary action on this subject.
