Anu Aggarwal, known as Bollywood’s famous actress and Aashiqui Girl, may be away from the industry now, but the 1990 superhit film Aashiqui gave her to the heights of fame overnight. But an accident took away everything from them. In a recent interview, Anu revealed a shocking secret related to the film- he has not received the full fees of the film till date.
Anu Aggarwal told in his latest interview to Pinkvilla that he was given only 60 percent fees for the film Aashiqui. The entire 40 percent money is still left. He made it clear that he never tried to recover his dues from the filmmakers.
Life changed after a car accident
A big turn in Anu Aggarwal’s life came when she fell victim to a car accident. This incident changed his whole life. After this, she got away from the world of film and glamor. In this accident, she was in a coma for about 29 days and her memory was gone.
After staying away from the film world, Anu adopted the path of spirituality. For many years, he spent a life full of oblivion. Today, she talks openly about the experience of her life and the unknown truths of the film industry.
There was a bad behavior on demanding arrears
Anu told during the conversation that he earned more than modeling than films. She described himself as one of the early women promoting brands in India. He said that at that time only cricketers like Sunil Gavaskar were made brand ambassadors. Even male film actors were not selected for branding at that time.
Anu shared another bitter truth of Bollywood of the 90s. He said that if an actor had demanded his outstanding fees at that time, he was treated badly.
He told that at that time most of the work in the film industry was done without any record. Money transactions were also often from sources that were not legal. According to Anu, this was a system where artists were often denied their rights and this thing became common.
