- Air Marshal Manish Khanna Becomes Commanding in Chief Of Southern Air Command

On June 1, Air Marshal Manish Khanna was given the charge of Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C) of the Indian Air Force. Along with him, Air Marshal Jasvir Singh Mann took charge as an Air Staff Officer of Western Air Command.
In a four -decade long luxurious career, Air Marshal Manish Khanna has served several important posts including Fighter Squad Commanding Officer, Air Crew Examining Board, A major flying base, advance headquarters, Western Air Command and College of Air Warfare (CAW) Commandant.
He was posted as Senior Air Staff Officer (SASO) in the South Western Command (SASO) before taking over his current office.
During his operational career, Air Marshal Jasvir Singh Mann took command of a fighter squadron, served as the Chief Operations Officer at a forward base and also the air officer commanding of a major fighter base.
