New Delhi: Actor Vijay Devarakonda is surrounded by difficulties. He gave a controversial statement on tribal people at a pre-release event of the film ‘Retro’, due to which a case has been registered against him under the SC/ST Act. Police told News-Patiala that Vijay Devarakonda had given a controversial statement in April, although a case was registered against him on 17 June.
Tribals compare with terrorists
Referring to the Pahalgam terrorist attack at the pre-release event of Surya’s film ‘Retro’, Vijay Devarakonda had said, ‘Terrorists need to be taught to solve what is happening in Kashmir. It should be made sure that no one can brainwash them. What will be achieved by this? Kashmir is a part of India and Kashmiri is our people.
Had to apologize
Vijay Devarakonda further said, ‘India does not even need to attack Pakistan, because they are upset with their government. If this continues, they will attack their government. On social media, he was called bad due to his comment, expressing regret, the actor said, ‘Some people of the society have been hurt by the statement that I gave on the retro audio launch event. I want to say clearly that I had no such objective, especially for our tribals, whom I respectfully respect and consider them an integral part of the country.
