Mahindra & Mahindra has updated its popular SUV Scorpio-N. The company has included the new variant Z8 T automatic variant in it, which starts at Rs 20.29 lakhs and goes up to Rs 24.36 lakh.
At the same time, Mahindra has also updated the top variant of SUV Z8 L. It now includes Level-2 Advance Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features. With this, the Scorpio has now become one of the most advanced SUVs in the segment.
The price of Scorpio-N Z8 L variant has increased by Rs 48,000 due to the inclusion of Adas feature. Its ex-showroom price now starts from Rs 21.35 lakh, which goes up to Rs 25.42 lakh.
In India, it competes with Tata Harrier and Safari, while in this price range, it also competes with Hyundai Creta and Kiya Seltose’s top line variants.
Performance: 4 wheel drive options with diesel engine
No changes have been made mechanically in Mahindra Scorpio-N. It comes with a 2.0-liter MStallion turbocharged petrol engine and MHAWK diesel engine for performance. The petrol engine SUV generates 203hp power and 370Nm peak torque with 6-speed manual transmission. This engine generates 10nm more torque when the 6-speed torque converter is connected with automatic gearbox.
At the same time, the diesel engine generates 175hp and 370nm peak torque with manual gearbox. The same engine generates 400Nm torque with a 6-speed torque converter. There is also a 4 wheel drive (4WD) option with Scorpio-N diesel engine.
