Whatsapp Document Scanner: Whatsapp has finally introduced the feature for Android users which was waiting for a long time document scanning. However, this facility is currently being given only to select beta testers. iPhone users had already got this facility but now it has started on Android platform.
No longer required third-party app
Now users will not have to resort to any different app to scan the document, because WhatsApp itself will scan the document from the camera and convert it into PDF format, which can be sent directly to any contact. This will end the hassle of going into different apps and the entire process will become faster and easy.
How to get this feature?
This new feature was first seen in Whatsapp Beta for Android version 2.25.18.29 but then it was not active because the development was in the phase. Now gradually this feature is being rolled out for beta users. Many users have seen this feature active after the latest update.
Where to get a new option?
When you click on the Attachment icon in WhatsApp, now you will see “Browse Documents” and “Choose from Gallery” as well as a new option “scan document”. On clicking on it, your phone camera will open, so that you will be able to take a picture of the document and share it immediately.
Manual and automatic mode will also be available
Whatsapp added another useful feature to it manual and automatic scan mode. In manual mode, you can decide yourself which part of the document to scan, while in automatic mode, WhatsApp itself recognizes the edges of the document and scanns it. This will give the user fast and accurate results.
Another new AI feature of Whatsapp
Not only this, recently WhatsApp has also launched a new AI-based chat Samari feature. This feature makes a bullet-point summary of any personal chat and tells the user what is the main theme of the conversation-without opening the full chat.
